{{ shallow breathing can be heard as the camera clicks on, first filming the palm of the mans hand, then finally flipping over to face him. his lefthand runs slowly over the front of his face, eyebrows pulled inward as he stares down at the strange little machine, hearing odd noises comingout from it. }}

H...Hello? Is there...anyone around here?

{{ his gaze never quite stays fixated on the camera, looking all about him, eyes darting to the walls and the windows, as if expecting them to disappear at a moments notice. }}

My name is...Daniel. I need help finding someone...I don't...quite know where I am.

{{ he speaks into the air, his eyes finally settling back down on the device, seeming to look even more confused than before. }}

{{ nearly dropping the device to the floor, Daniel stares down at it, clearing his throat. strange. he's never seen something like this before. perhaps it's just one of the many things he had forgotten...or just one of the many strange things this place had come up with.

I...don't believe I have seen you before.

{{ he looks about, sitting down on the nearest available stair, rubbing one eye as he stares into the camera. }}

Yes, I'm fine. ...Well...not particularly. Physically everything is fine and well, {{ aside from the mild headache that constantly seemed to be pestering him, }} but I'm not quite sure where I am. Do you have any idea?

[...ooookay, that's...disappointing. Daniel can't remember him. It wasn't like they shared all their secrets or anything, but they'd been fairly good drinking buddies.]

You're in Wonderland, and not...wherever the Hell you were a few minutes ago.

[But being vague probably doesn't help. Dean rubs his forehead and thinks for a moment. He's never been particularly good at explaining this place to people from further back than his own time period, because, as the narration has said, history has never been his strong suit.]

I'm at the bottom of some stairs...I suppose I'm in a hallway? I think I came out of the attic...

[Dean switches off the transmission and goes off hunting Daniel - not in the sketchy or creepy way, just, you know. Looking for him. He finds the aforementioned Englishman on the top floor next to the attic staircase, and damn, it sure is creepy up there.]

[He waves shortly and jogs up to the poor guy. Daniel might notice that Dean is wearing curious future-garb. Sometimes the hunter forgets that his wardrobe staples like flannel shirts and biker boots tend to throw people off.]

That could very well be so...but I don't know anything about this Shadow. ...It could very easily just be a title.

[ As luck would have it, Alex did briefly meet Daniel the last time he was here, because ~~muncest is awesome~~ some very helpful person heard the name Alexander and decided to point Daniel to Alex's room. But the meeting was brief and the door remained locked, so though there's a vague familiarity here, Alex can't say for sure that this isn't some other random old-fashioned-talking dude. It's not like people from the past are unheard of in Wonderland.

Anyway, it's that flicker of questionable recognition which has Alex paying attention to what's otherwise a pretty typical new arrival. No offence, Dan. Alex is just a bit jaded to people popping in and out by now. ]

It's called Wonderland. You'll be stuck here for a while.

{{ he hadn't ventured very far. in fact, after he had got out of the attic, he hadn't gone anywhere else. there was something reassuring about being out of the attic, and in the light, in a hallway that seemed vaguely safe. }}

[ He doesn't bother commenting on the Alice in Wonderland thing, since 'don't drown yourself trying to cross the ocean' is probably much more practical advice than 'yeah there's some stuff here that's like some other stuff that's in a movie'. ]

Well...physically, yes, I'm alright. But I seem to be, uh...lost...in this place. {{ despite not having really moved from where he first started }}

Do you by chance know where this is? I, um...am in a hallway, of some sort.

Do you see numbers on the doors? If you head in the direction the numbers get smaller in, you'll find the stairs.

I came down some stairs...
