{{ shallow breathing can be heard as the camera clicks on, first filming the palm of the mans hand, then finally flipping over to face him. his lefthand runs slowly over the front of his face, eyebrows pulled inward as he stares down at the strange little machine, hearing odd noises comingout from it. }}

H...Hello? Is there...anyone around here?

{{ his gaze never quite stays fixated on the camera, looking all about him, eyes darting to the walls and the windows, as if expecting them to disappear at a moments notice. }}

My name is...Daniel. I need help finding someone...I don't...quite know where I am.

{{ he speaks into the air, his eyes finally settling back down on the device, seeming to look even more confused than before. }}

[ ooc; still working on icons, ah ha, taking a bit more time than I expected... but look, you still have this nice default one to look at! and that's pretty swell, isn't it? ]

There are a lot of things to do, just not work. It can get kind of boring sometimes, though, when nothing's going on.

I...guess I'll have to find something to preoccupy myself with. ...What is it that you do, Yuu?

Uh...you mean here? I um I find things to do. I play video games mostly.

But I guess you don't know what those are....

Um before that, you need a room. [He glances around.] And I should tell you where the kitchen is at least....

{{ he looks around as well, looking over all the doors in the hall. }}

Are any of the rooms in here available?

I think most of them are. If it's empty, you can probably just take it.

Alright then. I think I'll take one further away from the attic. Possibly on a middle floor...

But you said something about the kitchen? Could you show it to me? ...If you have time to, that is.

{{ might as well aquaint himself with the place as best he can. especially if he will be stuck here for x amount of time.}}

Yeah, sure. It's on the first floor.

[He heads back toward the stairs, talking as he goes.]

There's a dining room too, on the second floor. In case you're not too good at cooking.

{{ daniel followed behind, taking in the surroundings as they webt. better safe than sorry. }}

The second floor? Strange that it's not on the same floor as the kitchen...

And the food in the dining room is...safe?

Yeah, it's safe as far as I know. You can get whatever you want there, too.

[Which is a relief, because if you couldn't, Yuu would eat nothing but instant ramen.]

Anything? Even holiday food?

Yeah, I guess so. I mean, I keep eating ice cream and it's winter, so I think it doesn't matter if it's the right time of year.

That's amazing! What a peculiar little place this is, isn't it?

{{ he pauses for a moment, thinking. }}

How many people other than the two of us are here?

Maybe a hundred. People come and go a lot, so it's kind of hard to keep track.

[Yuu clomps down the stairs as he speaks.]

It's never enough to fill the whole mansion up.

A hundred! That's quite a lot! To think this place can hold that many people...

{{ he looks around, catching himself before taking a tumble down the stairs. }}

Amd that many people have been taken here... I wonder if anyone from our worlds will notice that we're missing.

{{ pausing again, he clears his throat, looking towards Yuu once again. }}

Sorry, I'm babbling. Are we almost there?

Yeah, almost there.

[He's quiet until they get down to the first floor.]

It's back this way. [Yuu gestures and leads the way toward the back of the building where he holds open the door for Daniel.]

{{ daniel remains quiet as well, seemingly deep in thought. }}

Oh, thank you.

{{ he stepped in, looking around the kitchen. it was much bigger than any kitchen he had seen! or...could remember seeing. perhaps this was actually a normal sized kitchen - he had just grown accustom to a smaller size. either way, he feels the need to grab at everything to examine it - especially the sort of kitchen ware that had yet to appear in his time period. }}

This...is very large in comparison to kitchens I have seen before! And it has so many things... Does this kitchen usually hold all one hundred residents at once?

At once?

[Yuu tilts his head and rubs the side of his neck in thought.]

I don't think I've ever seen more than three or four people in here at once. It never runs out of food, though.

It's quite large for only holding three to fo- {{ he jumps as he turns on a blender, beating at the buttons until it turns off again}} to four people.

{{ he's walks to the other side, opening the fridge and looking in. holy shit the future is awesome. }}

Do you ever see who brings the food in? Perhaps they would know how to leave.

It just appears. Lots of things here are like that.
