[Balthazar pops up in the feed with a tense smile. His ash-blond hair is mussed in a way that suggests bedhead too artfully to be an accident. Likewise, his clothes are impeccable, except for a burned hole in the front of his shirt. About the size of a fist, it lets a glint of metal from his necklace show through.]
Well, the first thing I’ll be needing is a bar. One that serves good liquor, preferably, although I’m not too finicky for a little rotgut here and there. Once that’s been handled, I'd love to know who picked this as the site for the family reunion.
[He pauses for a moment, then adds:] If I do find a bar, please don’t try to sober me up. It takes a lot of effort to get drunk when you have a metabolism like mine, and I hate to spoil the experience.

::Oh thank the god he didn't believe in. This one isn't covered in blood.::
Or alternatively, you could save yourself some money, go to a closet, think about whatever alcoholic drink you want, and open it. They're helpful like that.
no subject
...Oh, do they do that? That's useful. I haven't tried the closets yet.
I wouldn't have to drink it in the closet, in that case, I hope? That seems a bit desperate.

[ Guess who else wanted the bar as soon as she showed up? Nothing quite like appearing in the prison of the randomly kidnapped to make one desire a drink or eighty. ]
Your shirt's looking a little holey there. Run into the wrong end of a knife recently?
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. [He tugs at his shirt, half-annoyed, half self-conscious.] I'm an angel. I'm supposed to be holey.
[Ba-dum-tish! He likes bad puns, okay?]
Good one. [ Still bad, but he gets some points. ] Tell me, Wings, how's it feel to be snatched from home and dropped in Wonderland?

Who just stabbed him.
Castiel knows nothing of this, of course. On the contrary, his eyes light up when he recognizes the vessel, and there is a softness about his features that shows nothing but genuine gladness to see Balthazar.
He's one of the few he's been reasonably sure would not kill him on sight.
The irony escapes him for timeline reasons.]
The bar is on the fifth floor. Hello, Balthazar.
no subject
At least he can be grateful to Gabriel for the heads-up. He manages a very shaky smile in response to the greeting, and his voice goes just as shaky when he responds.]
Hello, Cassi. Don't suppose you drink there much?
no subject
[Castiel looks fairly pleased with himself. He has yet to appreciate the effects of alcohol, but just like food he's at least learning to appreciate having it on occasion.
He remembers Santana calling him Cassi and asking her not to - a reminder of Balthazar that Castiel had not wished to invoke, thinking he was likely never to see his brother again.
The mansion is full of surprises, and on very rare occasions... Castiel might not mind them terribly much.]
It's on the fifth floor, the first room. I will meet you there.

[ Well, that and the angelic amnesia. He wonders if this one remembers him. He's not sure which option would be more convenient. ]
[ Video ]
How long have you been about, then?
[ Video ]
[ Of course, Crowley remembers everything Balthazar does, but he's going to imply that he doesn't. ]
Cas doesn't even remember meeting me. I think one more of yours has been here a while, too.

He levels the camera with a bright, false smile.]
Ha-hey, handsome. Long time no see.
[Not long enough actually, but you know.]
Give you two guesses who owns the bar around here.
[Hint: it's Dean.]
no subject
Yes. I'm sure you were very concerned when you found my wings burned into a concrete floor. Nice to know I chose the right allies. Do you have anything constructive to tell me or did you just want to gloat?
no subject
The exhaustion is something he can understand, though. His lips pull back into something that isn't quite apologetic- yeah, true, they didn't mourn Balthazar, but he's one of the few people they weren't actually pleased to find out had died.]
Yeah, actually. Why don't you come on up. You're gonna need more than a drink or two. I'll fill you in.
[Because if anyone can keep Cas from going back home and hopping right back on course with the way things went, it's probably Balthazar.]

I'm not sure it is, actually. My family's notorious for not getting along well. But I appreciate the sentiment. Who're you here with, then?

I've got one of my moms and her dad, so my gramps. What about you?

Bar's on the fifth floor, if no one's told you yet. [Looking the guy over more closely, he frowns.] And the closets might give you somethin' if you're lookin' to get cleaned up. Bandages, shit like that.
[And it occurs to him that he doesn't know if they have a hospital here or not. Something to look into...]
[He glances down at his shirt and frowns, picking a scorched thread off the front. Definitely better replace that ASAP.]

[Was this guy here for Ruby's message? Whatever, if he hears it twice so be it.]

What he isn't is likely a threat, and so Samandriel doesn't hesitate to greet him.]
Balthazar?
You know, when I said 'family reunion', I didn't actually mean it. I don't recognize your vessel...
