[When Frank turns on the phone he's barely looking at the network. He seems more focused in checking his arrows- all the different kinds of arrows he could gather.]

These things, the... mirrors, the ones that have crossed over.

[He strings the bow, testing the feel of it on his fingers. Those from his world will recognize that as something Frank does when he's nervous, even though his face is completely calm.]

What happens if we kill them?

[ it takes some time to reign in his gut instinct. the knee-jerk response is to encourage Frank. why don't you try your luck and find out? he's so used to being surrounded by the mirrors of these people that he doesn't know how not to roll his eyes out of his head at their morality, but since he's trying to get these losers to believe he's Percy, he knows better. ]

Frank, you can't just go around picking them off. I know we have no idea what all of them are capable of but we also don't know what it'll do to the rest of us.

[The Mirrors have, so far, been so obviously wrong in some way or another when compared with their Reals that just that little bit of acting is enough to convince Frank he's talking with Percy. Later, that is going to bug him for days.

But now, he just... sighs and nods to agree.]

Yeah, you're right. Annabeth pointed that out too... but that means we have to find another way to stop them. Having them around kind of freaks me out.

[ Mercy shares the same roots with Percy Jackson. he knows where the kid came from and more importantly, how to fake walking a mile in his shoes. their stories fork in separate paths, but he's had nothing but time to listen to the conversations of the six friends from home that he has here. ]

I don't like them around anymore than you do. Talk about goosebumps the size of craters. [ yikes!! he's going to puke if he keeps this up. ] But the best way to beat them is to get to the sword before they do. Who knows what their plans are once the Queen actually gets her hands on it.

Yeah, that sword is crazy powerful isn't it? [Frank's only got bits and pieces about it so far, but if it's the only thing able to hurt the infamous bird then it's got to have a lot of power.]

So it can't fall on the wrong hands. Problem is right now it could fall into anyone's hands as long as they solve the riddle and, well... I don't want to pressure Annabeth but she's like, our best card to get our hands on it right now.

It has to be at least as strong as Zeus' master bolt. [ Poseidon's trident, the helm of Hades, etc etc. ] Don't forget about the shield. Rachel's prophecy made it pretty clear that the sword isn't the only important part.

[ of course she didn't foresee the mirrors bleeding into real side and getting a chance to try to win the sword with their own merits. ]

I know, and she's trying. She's going to get it. She just needs more time.

Yeah, but so far no one's got any idea of where the shield is, right?

[While they have Jupiter knows how many Mirrors running around to get the sword, so as far as Frank's concerned their focus should be the sword, for now. Part of him wonders if it isn't all a distraction but he hasn't been in Wonderland enough to share that kind of guesses: if people who've been here for years trust the Duchess shouldn't he trust her too?]

I wish I could help her, but I couldn't even begin to guess the not-really-chinese handcuffs. Unless there's something for me to shoot at or an animal we need I'm better of staying away from their track- unless I can turn into a dog and like, sniff the sword.
