If someone was writing a story about your life, of everything up to this point, what would you want, more than anything, for them to get right about you?

How much I care about my friends. I know I haven't always been the best friend I could be. But I'd want them to know I tried.

I bet they do know. Even if you made mistakes. It's easy to tell when someone is actually trying to be a good friend, and when they're selfish or not really trying.

That I did not do the things I did because I wanted to, so much as it was the only thing I was capable of doin' at the time. [ vague. deliberately vague. ]

Even if people are just repeating what happened, facts get mixed up and confused because people either...take out parts they don't like because it doesn't fit their idea of what happened, or because they want to make a story better, more exciting or something like that.

[ Stupid Isaac, changing stories because he thought they'd be better with more pain. ]

So, that's a good one. Even if it felt like your best wasn't enough. No one should twist around what happened.

I wonder, would it be a sufficient answer if I said 'everything'? I would like any telling of my life to be accurate and well-researched. I would also like it not to be written with any bias, either positive or negative!

I would just like to be seen for who I am. To leave the facts of my life behind so that everyone can judge the measure of my life for themselves!

So you would want a true biographer to tell your story and make sure there were no embellishments, good or bad. Because you want everyone to come to a conclusion on their own.

I've already written about a fair bit of my life. If I had to give the story to someone else, I'd appreciate it centering on the things I've done and the people I've cared about, not on what I stand to inherit.

Some people lose track of what's important.

I wonder if it's better to write your own book, or worse? Just because I could make sure I say all the things I really want to, but how would anyone trust I'm actually telling the exact truth? They'd just have to trust me.

But, I guess you'd have to trust someone else to do the same thing for you.
