[The feed comes on to Shepard already moving, angled from the bottom-left up: absolutely on her omni-tool. She's not suited up in her armor, but the top of her sniper rifle can be seen in frame as being slung over her back.

And man, she looks pissed.]

Hey. I get we've got a lot of new people and this really might be jarring for some of you, but who the fuck is going around shooting people in the back?

[She addresses the camera directly and yeah, wow, she's definitely on the war path.]

It's not every day you find your friend's body on the ground from a bullet wound, and I'm a soldier. Somebody better come clean, or I'm gonna find out who it was, and trust me, you're gonna be happier if you just tell me and we have some time to talk. Otherwise, I'm gonna have to take this into my own hands.

[And she looks like she means serious business.]

If anyone knows who Legion was with today, I could use help narrowing it down. And I hope we're damn clear.

[And she cuts the feed.]

D'you know what they were shot with? Even a bullet could tell a lot about whoever did it.

Something close range. By the looks of it, not old school shrapnel. Something from my world, which is even more concerning, because most people I know are friends with them. Which means somebody lost their damn mind, or someone's gotten their hands on a real high-tech gun.

[And she's not sure which is worse. She took inventory of all her weaponry, but it's hard to count bullets on a heat sink system.]

is there anyone you can think of whos seen your kind of guns? because if they knew enough they could get one for themselves out of the closet. they wouldn't need to steal. that or you might have someone from home who isn't making themselves known.

I can count the amount of people who've seen 'em up close on one hand. None of them would do this. And it's not like he could've been fighting back.

I can't think of anyone who would've done this from my world. Unless it's just... someone who's never met him. But everyone that's showed up here so far has been a member of my crew. A friend of theirs.

[River, after a moment's consideration, decides to respond to the post in audio only. She's had enough people worrying about her once they see the shoddily-treated wounds covering her arms.]

Could be a Mirror. Can't forget they're out.

[The Mirrors. Oh my god. She's totally forgotten. Fuck.

And the gun was like hers and something from her world and and and--]

... You're right. Damn. That makes it worse.

Worse or better? If it's a Mirror, it's not a friend.

Doesn't have to be yours. Could be Tali's. Could be Legion's.

Still could be. Besides, Tali's not gonna feel any better if it's hers. None of us are.

[Still sort of them, still looked like them, still would've been enough to make Legion trust. Get them off guard.]

[ well fuck. this week is running tali ragged and she's not sure how to deal with this, except that she's already heading to wherever it seems like shepard is. her voice is somewhere between furious and devastated. ]

Shepard. Where's Legion's body?

In the hall. By all our rooms. I didn't... I didn't want to move it. I don't know what happens when Wonderland brings people back.

[She still just sounds so fucking angry. She's either gonna find who did this or annihilate something before the day's end. ]

Wound seemed like it came from a heat sink type gun, though. How many people from our world have you seen? I've only spotted people from the Normandy. Friends.

Just friends here, too. If another human from our universe is here they haven't made themselves known. [ a pained pause. ] I'll be to our hall soon. Maybe I can narrow down ammo type. Or maybe I can salvage something from them. I have the best chance of being able to get something working out of a broken geth.

[ and they need answers, information, some sort of direction before they can hold someone accountable for shooting legion. ]

I can't be certain but I do know Lord Greyjoy has been worked up and angry lately. He was threatening violence over the network just days ago.

Besides, they were found outside of their room. They're also a robot, so. I don't think they were getting drunk, though their killer might have been.

[It hadn't taken Tali terribly long to figure out the communication system, even if some things about it were puzzling. She's blinking in surprise as the video feed clicks on. She'd been told Shepard was here, but she hadn't seen proof yet.]

[She sounds glad and relieved to talk to her, even given the circumstances. She's still not happy to be here at all, but it's nice to see a person she trusts. Then again, Tali sobers after a moment. After all, someone's apparently dead, and even if she doesn't recognize the name, she's sorry to hear about one of the commander's friends.]

[Something about Nathaniel seems personally insulted, though he has no personal stake in this at all. What he does have are some values about how one faces someone they intend to kill, and that they eminently involve facing them.]
