[ Ding, dong, sketchy teenager alert! What was obviously a fumble causes a video broadcast - it's dark out, at first all that can be seen is the night sky and the tops of trees - someone is out in the forest. And then suddenly a familiar face comes into view; Isaac looks tired and just a little too unfazed by life in general. But despite the look, he mutters a minor obscenity under his breath before reaching down to grab his phone.
As he stands back up the moonlight catches in the reflection of his night-vision - causing his eyes to look a bright yellow for a moment, blinking it away as if he doesn't even notice he offers the network an unwavering stare. ]
Has anyone else been feeling - different lately?
[ Maybe Wonderland's up to something, he's not sure, either way, the freaky glow-y eye thing is definitely not normal but apparently something he didn't notice. ]

Most of them want that, but in Isaac's case it may not be the best idea. So Scott must not have told him about his ultimate fate, that he ends up dead -- or at least, that's how Castiel understood it.
It's not his business and he won't get involved in that way.]
It shows. Your eyes don't usually glow in that way. What does it mean?
[If there's a chance that Isaac might turn, if he's somehow without his anchor (a concept Castiel understands all too well now), then they'll need to do something about that.]
But what Castiel suspects isn't something Isaac is privy too, it's a fear of his, but not something he has really heard any information about. ]
Iunno. [ Simple and clean answer, he doesn't know what his eyes were up to, it's not like he can control how light refracts in them, nor can he feel when they actually glow when he's panicked or shifty. ]
I don't think I can get sick. [ But he definitely feels... not so good.
Then he pauses because of course, Castiel is worried he's gonna try to chew on people. ]
It's not a shift.
They were gold, if that means anything to you.
[But Isaac doesn't seem to know much, and there's a much simpler way to get to the bottom of this, beyond speculating.]
If we talk face-to-face, I may be able to sense what's wrong.
[Provided it's anything more than being overtired.]
[ He hasn't killed anyone - but he knows that's what happens, he'd gathered that much from Scott when Deucalion was around...
He pauses for a moment before actually letting his eyes bleed into the bright golden of his wolf, they're far brighter than before when the broadcast was made. After a moment they fade back into his human blue. ]
...Alright...
[ He tries to remind himself that Castiel won't hurt him, but that small voice in the back of his mind keeps posing a simple question:
What if he does? ]
[video] → [action]
That gold is a deeper, richer color than what he'd seen before. There's something more to this, and he intends to get to the bottom of it.
Castiel cuts the feed and then takes flight -- it's freeing, to have proper control of his wings again after that event. He appears a few feet away from Isaac at his chosen spot in the woods.]
Hello, Isaac. [He'll give him a moment to adjust before jumping right into the soul-searching part of this meeting.]
[action]
The feed is cut without even a goodbye, and it doesn't surprise Isaac, he simply slips his phone back in his pocket without even bothering to reply to anyone else for the time being.
What he hears first is the sound of Cas' wings, not that he sees him, the noise has him on edge and fingers find the circular metal of the ring daggers, but then he sees Cas, the scent of ozone and sterility hit him like a wave and he lets the daggers stay at his sides.
Arms fall limp at his sides as he simply stares at the angel. ]
Castiel. [ It's a greeting, a mirthless tired one, but still a greeting. ]
[action]
He's overly paranoid. Almost like a lesser version of what Dean had experienced during that event. Maybe it is some holdover after all.
The exhaustion Isaac's feeling is more obvious in person, although even when Castiel tries to take a deeper look at him, all he can pick up is the usual information about his monstrous nature.
He steps closer, then tilts his head at him -- intrigued.] Can you explain in more detail what it is that you're feeling?
[action]
[ He doesn't bother to elaborate, the somber tone in his voice should be enough to cue Castiel in that it wasn't good and he doesn't wanna talk about it. ]
I can't sleep. I keep thinking - it's not - it's not normal. [ Maybe it's all the people around him that made him realise something isn't quite right, not that he can stop his thinking or stop the strange feeling. ] I - [ He falls quiet as if trying to decide if he wants to tell Castiel that he's trying to get some fresh air instead of go and try to find Ben to snap his neck, wait till he comes back and do it again. ] want to hurt people.
[ That's a simple way to explain it. ] Not everyone - not like the instinctual pull of the full moon. Certain people, just certain people. They deserve it. [ For a moment it seems like he's talking to himself instead of the angel, trying to convince himself into action.
The twins, he wants to kill them.
For Erica. For Boyd.
Ben - Ben had tried to hurt Allison. ]
The twins. They're - they're not here I can't get to them, I can't - I can't stop them.
[ He leaves Ben out - he doesn't want to be stopped if he tries. ]
[action]
The symptoms that Isaac lists are certainly alarming, if he's having murderous thoughts, even about people who supposedly deserve it. Castiel isn't going to get into an argument about who does or doesn't deserve to die, but...
This isn't normal. Issac is usually a gentle type (for a werewolf), more interested in following the lead of one of the other werewolves.
He's burning up with this murderous intent, though, and something must be causing it. Castiel eyes Isaac for a few more seconds and then shakes his head. He needs to delve deeper if he wants to get to the bottom of it.]
I need to get a closer look at your soul, in order to diagnose what's been done to you.
[action] that icon is so cute tho
I need to get a closer look at your soul, in order to diagnose what's been done to you? The hell does that mean.
Eyebrows twitch up in an expectant look at that comment. Something in the back of his mind tries to tell him no, that it's a bad idea - it's a trick. But the only thing Isaac can really do is give Castiel a slow nod. ]
Get a closer look at my soul? - What do you mean 'done to me' - like what? [ He knows that Allison, Stiles and Scott's souls were all touched by the... God what was that thing called? The Nemetoad? But he didn't... He didn't mess with it.
He wets his lips - a little nervous at what Castiel wants of him and what he might find. What if he doesn't have one? What if after all the years of a shitty life it's icky and hellbound? What if - he's going to try to smite you? ]
[action] but i used it already :c
He can see that Isaac's uncertain about the idea, though who wouldn't be? Adam had been much the same, if not even more paranoid given his past experience with angels.
At the question, Castiel purses his lips and shakes his head.] I don't know, but a soul can be altered or tainted by someone powerful enough.
[There are, of course, a number of warnings that he has to issue first. Castiel crosses his arms and his eyes skate over Isaac.] It's a painful process, but shouldn't leave any lasting damage. [Castiel has become practiced in it at this point and he's confident in his abilities to not harm Isaac in any permanent way.]
[action] shhhh shhhh smooches ur cheek
Then it all stopped and he was awake, he was better. The sound of the heart monitor in critical care was what he woke up to and at this point, the sound was a familiar one. ]
So... It's not dangerous?
[ He hesitates even more, before moving to his second question... ]
Painful like breaking a bone or painful like chopping an arm off?
[ No lasting damage has him rather worried... He tries to convince himself that if it were an attack he wouldn't get a warning. Baby blues lock onto Castiel's familiar gaze - it's almost comforting, almost. ]
[action]
But in light of what happened during this past event, where he'd been unable to stop himself from hurting people, there is that moment of hesitation where he wonders if this is really the best idea. But if he doesn't do it, Isaac may end up hurting someone against his own will, so--]
Painful as in I'll be forcing my arm into your body. It won't leave any wounds after the fact, but that's what it'll feel like.
[He has no issue with giving full disclosure. In the end, it is Isaac's choice, but Castiel doesn't think that he'll be any better off if he refuses.]
[action]
Great...
[ He sighs out a breath, eyes fall from Castiel to the ground then back to Castiel. ]
I'd heal from that anyway... This isn't - you're not gonna smite me are you? [ He knows Castiel wouldn't do that - and if he were to, it would just last as long as wonderland decided to bring him back. His jaw locks in nervousness, teeth grinding together. He doesn't want to hurt someone - at least not when he can't control it. There are too many good people that would come after him for it and that would put Allison and Scott in danger. ]
Do it. [ He'd gone into the ice water and been held under until his heart slowed to remember the memories of Erica and Boyd and where they were - if this could help him not hurt people, he'd do it. He's done less assured things in his short lifespan anyway. He refrains from adding "Don't accidentally kill me, okay?" not wanting to stress the angel out. ]
If there's something wrong with me - you can fix it, right?
[action]
No, this isn't the same as smiting. [Isaac seems to trust him, at least, which is good. It's not as if Castiel has ever given him any reason not to, but then again, Isaac isn't acting completely rational right now.
The second question he isn't able to give as immediate or concrete of an answer. Castiel's silent for a few moments and even when he replies, he isn't looking directly at Isaac.] I can't promise that, but that's the hope, yes.
[Now that he's explained everything, there really isn't any time to waste. He lifts his head up and fixes Isaac with a surprisingly calm stare.] Are you ready?
sorry this is a million years late
Knowing his luck it was going to fail miserably or something, that's how it usually went... He can only think back to when Deaton had Scott and Derek basically drown him only to find out that Erica was dead.
White blunt teeth are grit together for a moment and then Isaac sucks a breath in through his nose to let it out as a sigh. ]
Yeah, why not.
no worries!!
He's not about to do this in the middle of the woods, though. For one thing, Isaac should be seated for this, given that the pain may cause his knees to buckle. For another thing, this is something that should remain private, and given that they're already in the forest, there's an obvious solution.]
We should move into the bunker, so that we're not out in the open when I do this. [It's where he'd gone through this process with Adam, and it had worked well enough.
A pause, then, and he tilts his head at Isaac.] I can fly us, if you don't mind. [It's more warning than he usually gives, but he doesn't want to set off a werewolf that's already on edge.]
