002 ✯ video } { here in the ashes your soul cries out
So, hi. Carol. We probably haven't met yet because I'm still kinda new. Hala and the Supreme Intelligence was my fault though so ... sorry or you're welcome, depending.
[She is not good at these sorts of things so she's mostly just trying to convey the information that the White Queen asked her to as cleanly as possible. The people here deserve to know.
The Mirrors probably do too. She'll figure out how to communicate with them in a bit.]
While we were over there, I spoke to the White Queen. She told me, in as much as she could tell anything, that where we were wasn't a part of Wonderland. The phrase she used was "stones crack open," which leads me to believe that whatever that little adventure did, it might have ... knocked other things loose. We should try and be prepared for what the consequences of that may be.
There was a lot she couldn't say - she was just a ghost and I think communicating was hard for her because of it, or because of something done to her, I couldn't be sure. I also think that wherever that was, being "not Wonderland" might have been why it was so hard for the Red Queen to bring us back.
[That's the easy part. Now comes to the difficult part, which a lot of people may have figured out already - she doesn't know who else the White Queen happened to talk to.]
She also wanted everyone to know that the White Queen was never the White Queen. It was the creature - the Jabberwocky - the entire time, and I guess the snap in the last event just forced it to exposes themselves. She's very sorry.
Which, not her fault, given the dead of it all, but I promised her I would let everyone know.
[And now she has hit the bottom of the information she has to share, she's going to open the floor.]
I don't know if I was the only one but if anyone else had some interesting conversations over there and cares to share, I think the only way we really gain any ground here is having as much information out in the open as possible. So ... the floor is yours.
I also have a question. What, if anything, do you guys already know about how the real White Queen was murdered?
[And with that, the video will end and she'll be writing a message for the Mirrors while she waits for any responses.]

for mirrors }
Once she finds a mirror that fits her requirements, she takes a marker, and scribbles across the surface in big block letters.]
The White Queen was never the White Queen. It was always the Jabberwocky, and she is very sorry.
[And given that she knows a little something about your leader turning on you or not being what you thought they were - oddly appropriate that the Dream Side pulled the Supreme Intelligence from her mind as a result - she adds the following:]
I know it doesn't help much, but she wanted you to know that.
[And with that, she will find somewhere to sit off to the side, just in case some responses come back.]

Thanks. I'll try to pass this on
to Alice.[Hopefully Carol saw that before he crossed out that last part. He's scared the other mirrors might try to attack him for trusting Alice or something.]
Do you know what happened to the real White Queen?
no subject
no subject
Sorry to hear that...
So, now what?

no subject
Please keep us updated about this.

[On the other side of the glass, he can only sigh at the mirror. Unseen by that nice woman...
Perhaps he could try to cross over, but how would that help anything?]
no subject
He's a lot of things.
It's been a long time since he wasn't able to grasp for a word for exactly how he's feeling. 'Betrayed' doesn't even come close to covering it. 'Angry' doesn't come close. 'Devastated' is... closer than most, but still not right. He passes the mirror by chance, and spends a while simply standing in silence, reading the message over and over.
The White Queen was never the White Queen.]
Thank you. [Is his first response, in slow, curling cursive.]
Did she say anything else?

no subject
I mean... She was always so peaceful. And she had control of the Vorpals! Wouldn't the Jabberwocky abuse that kind of power?
no subject
[Sorry, Jean, this is where the end of her info dump reaches.]
As I said, I've only been here for two months, so I don't even know what some of those things are.
no subject
Err. No offense or anything.
no subject
[She's not offended, necessarily, but there was only so much she could get out of her.]
Maybe other people learned more. Did you get a friendly visit from one of our neighborhood cryptics?
no subject
Yeah. The Queen of Hearts. Even though she's supposed to be dead or whatever.
no subject
[Because that's really the important thing, less so the ghosts.]
video;
[She whoops and hollers for a few more minutes and then eventually contains herself.]
...Thanks for the information. It's awful, but thanks.
video ; to end
Happy to help. At least some of us were ahead of the curve.
no subject
[She'll get over herself in a second maybe. this may just be her life now.]
no subject
Sometimes your first instinct is your best one. Nothing wrong with that.
no subject
video.
( To not trust, to not believe, to not give into. She folds her arms across her chest, releasing the breath held in her chest. )
I ran into the Jabberwocky.
video ; to end
Are you okay?
no subject
Wish it gave me more information, but it mostly seemed to want to fuck with me. Scare me. Mess with my head. ( Clementine's shoulders tighten at the memory of her mother's voice. Over and over. ) THere was a weird song. Maybe that was some clue.
When I asked what it wanted, it said vorpal... like the vorpal sword and shit.
no subject
[So naturally it wants to keep them for itself.]
Do you remember any of the song? Was it about the ocean?
no subject
It was about the devil- how little girls should not trust the devil, but they should let the sunshine in.
And face it with a grin.
text
[She attaches the article in question.]
The Dormouse said that where we were was a part of Wonderland. He called it the Dream Side.
text ; to end
[Which obviously is not really a scathing indictment of anyone.]
She seemed to think otherwise. Or maybe I just interpreted it wrong - as I said, she couldn't exactly be direct.
no subject
Not unusual for us to get conflicting answers, either. I will say the Dormouse was very lucid and direct. Apparently that was where he goes when he's asleep.
no subject
[The NPCs around these parts aren't exactly known for straight answers.]
no subject
Video
Wasn't here when she originally bit it. Sure someone around here remembers it, though.
video ; to end
Do we know where the Red Queen went? Is it somewhere the Jabberwocky can't get to?
no subject
no subject
Maybe that should be the first thing we do. Find something Jabberwocky proof.
no subject
I know there's a shield or some shit, but the Queen fucked off with that, and the fuckin' sword that could kill it- and whatever the fuck that thread is all about. Unless there's a goddamn vorpal bomb shelter, I think we're shit out of luck, there.
video;
[He muses the words aloud when he replies. It sounds almost poetic, like a written verse or the words of a song. Not something he recalls from any reading of the Wonderland texts, but perhaps he missed something.]
A riddle?
video ; to end
[Literally.]
