I don't think that sounded like something you can negotiate with. [ If not just for the creep factor. Does negotiating with the monster in a horror movie ever go well? ] Don't you think the way it spoke sounds kind of.. primal, almost. Or instinctive. Then again, it's kind of hard to pick up sounds from that mess.

I'd say fixing it is the more likely one of those two options.
